GLBT Democratic Caucus Summer Meeting Set for Sarasota May 18-19

GLBT DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS SUMMER MEETING SET FOR SARASOTA MAY 18-19

The Sum(mit) of All of Us Features Christine Jennings, Karen Thurman, Nadine Smith, and the National Stonewall Democrats

Fort Lauderdale – The program for the 2007 Summer Conference of the Florida GLBT Democratic Caucus, being held May 18 and 19 at the Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota, will focus on inclusion and outreach, with presentations and workshops intended to build on the Caucus’ successes of the 2006 elections. The Sum(mit) of All of Us features local elected officials, Party dignitaries, and state and national GLBT leaders, including FL-13 candidate Christine Jennings; Equality Florida executive director Nadine Smith speaking on the state’s anti-same sex marriage initiative; Florida Democratic Party executive director Leonard Joseph; John Marble of the National Stonewall Democrats; and Waymon Hudson and Anthony S. Niedwiecki, who made national news after being harassed at the Fort Lauderdale Airport when an employee preached a “death to homosexuals” message over the PA system.
